Job Overview:
As a Business Development Manager at Glassboard, you will play a critical role in driving the growth and expansion of our company. You will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, building and nurturing client relationships, and collaborating with internal teams to identify ways to best meet our clients' needs. This role requires a strong understanding of the product development process, excellent communication skills, and the ability to strategically position our services in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and Pursue New Business Opportunities:
Research and analyze market trends, industry developments, and potential clients to identify new business opportunities
Generate leads through networking, industry events, leveraging existing relationships, etc.
Develop and execute strategic plans to engage potential clients and secure new business.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs, and communicating their needs to our internal teams
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and addressing any concerns or issues promptly
Conduct regular client meetings and presentations to showcase our capabilities and discuss ongoing or potential projects
Collaborate with Internal Teams:
Work closely with engineering, design, and project management teams to develop tailored proposals and solutions that align with client needs and company capabilities
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project handovers and successful execution of client engagements
Provide feedback from clients and market insights to help shape the development of new services and offerings
Sales and Revenue Growth:
Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals set by the company
Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, reports, and performance metrics to senior management
Marketing and Brand Awareness:
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement strategies for promoting our services and enhancing brand awareness
Contribute to the creation of marketing materials, case studies, and content that highlight our expertise and success stories
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to expand our network and generate new leads
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably within the product development, engineering, or technology sectors (preferred)
Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle, including design, engineering, prototyping, and manufacturing
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Proficient in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools
